Pumpkin Adventures

We went to get some pumpkins and have some fun clowning around as a family.  I wasn't as impressed with the place we went, but sometimes those things are hard to know until you get there.

They had some pig races.  Kiah was a cheerleader for Team Bacon!  You can see her in the picture with her black flag.  Her pig didn't win, but she had a great time.  Eli wanted to go with her.

This is the look Anna had most of the day.  Everytime I would try and get a picture she would refuse.  She was a bit of a stinker all day... and the next for that matter.  I have a feeling her 2-year molars are eeking in.  She seems to be sticking her fingers in her mouth more.  But then again it could be something else since she keeps sticking her finger in her ears too.  Either she just figured out she could, or they are bothering her!

The "Pumpkin Patch" was not what I was expecting.  We took a hay ride out to the pumpkins and corn maze, but the patch was just a bunch of pumpkins laid out in the field.  Probably about half were broken open.  But we did manage to find some pumpkins.  We actually only got our pie pumpkins out in the field.  Managing 3 kids and a bunch of big pumpkins on the Hay Ride back seemed a bit much!  So we got our big ones at the register where they had some wagons we could pile the kids and the pumpkins in.

This was on the Hay Ride back
Eli Feeding a goat at the "Petting Zoo"  You really couldn't pet the animals, but for a quarter you could buy some food.  Of course as I was getting animal food for all the kids, I told Chris to watch Anna to make sure she didn't eat any... guess who didn't watch to closely... and who ate some animal food.

The Corn Maze was pretty lame, well,  at least in comparison to some I have been in.  But then again actually being lost in a field of corn with 3 potentially whining kids does not sound fun.  So maybe it was just right.  The fact of the matter is, the Corn Maze was a huge advertisement for their Christmas Tree farm.

We decided to get some food afterwards and headed to get some Pizza.  It was a fun day.  Here is one more shot of Anna trying to avoid a picture.

Kiah is looking so grown up. I am constantly amazed by how fast they grow!

Where did you guys go for pumpkins/maze? We went to the Shelby Farms one and were very disappointed. Lesson learned!
I love the picture of you kissing Kiah's cheek - precious.

I think it was about 2 years ago we went to Jones Orchard. We didn't do the extras, but the pumpkins were still in the fields. So I got some great pictures. There also weren't a ton of people. But we went a bit earlier in the month. This year we went to Cedar Hills Farm. I thought it was WAY over priced and talked up a bit. We had fun, but I am not sure if we will go there again. Maybe we will try something new! I like trying new things!
