Halloween

We had Trunk-or-Treat at Church on Wednesday night. The youth were in charge, and therefore I had a lot of planning.  They decided they wanted to do a Mad Scientist theme.  SO I broke out the Black Lights and spooked-up the kitchen.

We made "toxic slime" with water, glue, and Borax.  I made some awhile back.  Here is the recipe.  We used glue gel this time to make it translucent, and we colored it by breaking open a highlighter and putting the ink in the water.  That way it glowed in the black light.

I also found out that Tonic Water glows in black light.  So I had a vase of that on the counter.  You can see it glowing off to the side of the brain.  Which is cauliflower.
I also filled our blender with ping-pong balls that I colored to look like eyeballs, noodles, and red water.  It was gross!

Finally, I got some slimy candy beakers from Wal-Mart, and a bunch of Chris' books.  It looked really good!

I dressed the kids up as bees and Chris and I were beekeepers.  It was lots of fun.  I made cute little honeycomb bags for the kids too!

Sweet! You did an awesome job. Sounds you are in the perfect calling - hope you like it too :) You guys are very cute in your costumes. I've lost the ability to plan matching family costumes. They all have their own opinions!
