Family Home Evening: Establishing a House of God

Recently I was inspired by a scripture.

Doctrine & Covenants 88:119

Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God;

As I was reading the scripture it occurred to me that you could read it is as the steps to obtaining a House of God.  Each step building on the one before it. Organize, prepare, pray, fast, this builds faith, Continue to learn, share what you know by living it, keep your life in order.  So I decided to do a series of Family Home Evening lessons on this scripture.

In preparation for the next few months of FHE I made this.

I decided the breakdown of the lessons will be as follows

Organize yourselves; - Make a plan for behavior and cleaning the house

prepare every needful thing; - Emergency Preparedness

House of Prayer, - prayer

House of Fasting, -fasting

House of Faith, - faith

House of Learning, - learning, both secular and spiritual

House of Glory, -missionary work

House of Order, - prioritizing

House of God; - Happy family
