Best Birthday Ever

This year I decided to have a joint birthday party for Kiah and Eli.  There were several reasons for this.  One big reason is Kiah's birthday is during the summer, so she never gets to invite any of her friends from school.  So I wanted to have her party during the school year so she could, unfortunately none of them could make it, but we made an effort.  Also, we decided to have the party at a location other than our house.  I really makes it a whole lot less stressful for me.  We decided, for our money, a bounce house "park" would be the best bet for our money.  We could invite 25 kids, so it was perfect for a joint party.

This would be Eli's first birthday party.  We start them with the 4th birthday.  He LOVES jumping, so it really was perfect for him.

All the kids seemed to have a great time.  There were basically 6 different bounce houses/inflated play gyms to play on.  Several times i heard the phrase "This is the best birthday ever"!  And it really was for me as well.... let me tell you why.  I didn't have to do a thing once I got there other than play with the kids, and light some candles.  They did all the clean-up.

This was the first things the kids saw when they walked into the play room.  It was a short obstetrical course that lead to a big slide

The kids before the cake (Kiah and Eli are wear Burger King crowns we got the day before while driving back from vacation, just because they wanted to.  They love those things)

There was a little "drama" with the cakes.  I went to pick them up before the party.  I wanted to pick them up at 8am since the party was at 9am, but the guy taking my order seemed really nervous about it.  So I made it 8:30.  I go there a little after 8 and they hadn't even started frosting them.  I am not sure why.  SO I stood and watched them do it.  It was kind neat to see how they did it.  I made it to the party on time, just a little frazzled.  Especially since Chris was standing out front of the location and no one was there.  He called the guy and we apparently had a misunderstanding of the time and he thought our party was at 10.  Oh well.  He hurried over and was super nice and helpful and the party went on.  really without much of a delay.... AND he gave the kids bonus time.  But they didn't really need much.  I think they were all bounced out.

It really was so much fun.  I had a blast jumping/sliding and climbing with the kids.
