First Day of July 2008.

Chris has a CT scan today. He went to the Doctor yesterday for his follow-up appointment and his abdomen was still tender. So we will see if that provides any additional answers. Hopefully.

Chris and I have been discussing names for our little girl. We came up with a name that we both like that is the front runner for sure, but neither of us ha said, "this is it!" Well yesterday I began to pull all of the newborn girl clothes out of the attic. (yes, I was careful, it is much easier getting stuff down than up, Chris will have to put all the other stuff back!) After I got the clothes down I began to put them away in the place we have decided the her clothes will go. AS I was doing this Kiah came in and asked what I was doing. I told her I was putting away her sister's clothes. Kiah asked where her sister was, and I told her "she is still in Mommy's tummy, like Eli used to be, do you remember?" She didn't really answer. She then asked "Why is she in Mommy's tummy?" I tried tot ell her that she still needed to grow, but she didn't seem to be listening, she was more interested in the clothes. Then all of a sudden she said "we need to put _________ clothes away cuz she will be here next week." Now the blank is the shortened version of the name Chris and I both agreed upon. I let Kiah know that she was not coming next week, but if she felt that was her name. We had not talked to Kiah about the name. We haven't talked to ANYONE about the name. (I hate getting advice on names, who hates who, and that name is ugly, blah, blah, blah, once the birth certificate is signed and people see the baby, none of those comments seem to come up, amazing, huh?) Anyway, It is official, we have a name. Chris wants to do some follow-up on the middle name still, but I think that is set as well.

How exciting! I didn't even know it was a girl, at least I think I didn't know...

It's not Dora is it? I know how much Kiah likes Dora. When I was little I helped name my sister Brittany after the "girl chipmunk" on Alvin and the Chipmunks." You know, Brittany was the coolest one. I'm excited that you guys picked a name. That's awesome. I miss you guys.

I sooo agree with the naming thing. That was always the hardest part of having the baby for me. We never told anybody the name until the baby was here!! Since Kiah was right on with the name, hopefully she wont be right about the baby coming early!!!

Well, originally she had different names picked out. One day Kiah came into my room and asked what I was doing. I told her I was making a list of names for the baby. SHe said she wanted to help. SO I asked her what she thought we should name the baby.
Kiah: "Jesus Christ!"
Me: "I'll write it down, but I don't think we can use that name. What if it is a girl."
Kiah: "Kiah!"
Me: " I think you have picked out some nice names, but theya re already taken, let's keep thinking"
