oh my gosh! When it rains!!! So I had my Gestational Diabetes test this morning at 9. They wanted me to fast before it, so they made my appt at 9 so I could sleep through the tough part. That works great and all when you don't wake-up at 4. Eli started crying and puking. He has had flu-like symptoms since Tue night. Luckily Chris had already asked for the morning off. SO I took Kiah to my appt and Chris got an appt fro Eli (at the office next door to my ob) at 9:40. So after my appt I scooted next door (I wish the parking lots connected, but I actually had to get in the car and drive, lol) As we were climbing the stairs to the Dr, Kiah slipped and fell and hit her chin. Blood comes spewing out of her mouth. SO I pick her up and cup my hand under her chin to catch the blood. I hollered to Chris that I needed some help as I passed him with a wailing Kiah as I shuffled to the Bathroom. Eli was super fussy, so he really couldn't help much. I got the bleeding stopped, but Kiah wouldn't really let me look. I could tell it was coming from the inside of her mouth, and it appeared to be the inside of her bottom lip. Anyway, right after I got her, myself and the bathroom somewhat cleaned-up they called Eli. But the nurse looked puzzled as to whom was to be seen. I don't blame her. Kiah is walking in whimpering with a blood soaked paper towel in her mouth, lol. It is so funny now to think about. When she calmed down she was very concerned that she would not be able to buckle her seat belt or eat.

So we have Eli on a "watch" to make sure things improve. Of course they did as soon as we made the appt. I swear next time I am going to call my mom and pretend I am making an appt. Cuz he started to drink fluids again right after the appt was made, and he started eating as soon as we got home. Something he hasn't done since Tue. how he was not more dehydrated I will never know.

I just feel bad for my kids. In less than 2 weeks Eli had his head gashed in the front, chipped his front tooth, Kiah fell and bit her lip pretty badly, both kids have blisters on their feet (kiah from getting her crocks wet, Eli because his feet are so dang wide I had to put shoes on him that were too big, I should have left him barefoot, shoot), and I have found 2 other small scabs on Eli's head.
