We decided to take a trip to the beach. We went to Fort Desoto. It was so pretty. The water was on the colder side, but we had fun. Actually, Chris wasn't there most of the time. We got a flat tire and he had to take care of that. It ended-up being a much longer process since we had to have it towed. The kids and I also looked around the Fort. It was kinda cool. I really didn't take many pictures. We were just having a good time.
When Chris got back we rented a canoe and followed a little trail. It was so peaceful and quiet. We saw so many birds. And we saw dolphins. Some of them were about 15-20 feet from our canoe. It was amazing. When we got back the canoe rental guy said that was extremely rare... they never go in the trail. Usually people just see manatees. We didn't see any manatees, but we saw dolphin chasing and playing with dinner, I suspect! I didn't get to take pictures because I was WAY too busy watching. I didn't want to take the time to dig the camera out of the ziploc bag.
After Fort DeSoto we headed to Sunset on Pier 60 at Clearwater Beach. What a beautiful Beach. From what i could see in the dark, it was the quintessential beach with perfect sand. There was a huge playground and they show a movie too. We could see the movie, but didn't stay to watch.
