Soon after that picture she wanted nothing to do with the camera!
We had our usual 3rd birthday party around here, pretty low key. We had some cupcakes and ice cream and Anna opened a few presents! One included a book about drawing animals.... since drawing and painting seem to be her favorite things to do. She also loves play-doh. She is, by far, our most artistically minded child. She will usually draw or paint for as long as she can. I stopped washing her drawings off the wall in hopes she would run out of room and stop. It worked for a little bit. But then I started to see where she was adding too and filling in her previous drawings with a new color. She also loves to circle anything she can find.
The picture below is of the wall in our living room. She circled all the words she could reach standing on the back of the couch and drew a face in one of the lower frames.
She has her colors down, for the most part. Black and brown are just so confusing!
when she counts she ALWAYS says "1, 2, 8..."
she still struggles a bit with potty training. Mainly pooping in the potty. We will probably;y make a big push again in a couple of months. She is my later bloomer, why should potty training be any different.
She makes us smile. I am so excited for her to be 3! It is a fun age and she is going to learn so much!
