Temple

(just as a warning... there are a lot of pictures, none of which are great quality, but I found it very hard to photgraph everyone all at the same time. Especially when they were moving so quickly... not to mention getting their little tiny bodies in focus along with the large temple next to them. And I was videoing at the same time. SO get over the fact that there are weird perspectives, poor focus. I am trying to tell a story!)

Kiah has been talking about the Temple a lot recently. She is constantly asking me " Is that the Temple?" (a lot of churches around here are very large and could possible be mistaken for a temple. And there are a LOT of churches)

So for Family Night we decided to make a trip to the Temple, but since the Temple is closed on Mondays we switched Family night for the week to Tuesday. It was a little bit of a drive. We had the lesson in the car. All the kids fell asleep on the drive. But they were so excited when we got there.
I had to remind the kids not to run, but they quickly went toward the front of the building

There was a family coming out of the Temple that wanted their picturet aken, so we took theirs and then they took ours.
We then went up to look through the glass doors into the temple. A worker met us at the door and brought us into the mud room entrance to get a better look. He also gave the kids a Temple schedule which had a picture of the Temple on it. Eli studied it and walked all around with it in his hands.Eli loved pointing to the Temple and pointing to the picture on the paper he had. It was so cute.

To his toddler mind the Temple has a lot to do with the Angel Moroni on top

The kids loved being there.

Kiah really wanted her picture takenKiah also wanted to take a picture of us. So we let her. It was a bit tense since we are letting a preschool have the time to take a picture. They aren't always quick.... but the infant I had to put on the ground is quick to put things in her mouth. But she got a picture.

Now Kiah askes me everyday to show her how to get to the Temple. She reminds me she fell asleep so doesn't remember how to get there.

What a fun family night idea! Looks like you will have to take Kiah back to the temple to show her how to get there! =)
