It was a long day at the Doctor's office. Kiah is really afraid of needles, so I she got FluMist since she is old enough now. I am not sure how much she actually got, but we tried. But she had to get an Iron test done. Not pretty. Awful, actually. Eli had a flu shot and hardly whimpered. Anna got several shots, then went on a hunger strike. Sheesh. Luckily she just slept through it. But it got me a little concerned, especially since she had no weight gain. But this Monday is her Barium study.
They put us in the glow-in-the-dark room, which was fun for the first time or 2 that Kiah turned off the lights. But it was also an inferno! I was sweating by the end. Kiah and Eli got to wear those nifty paper gowns. They thought it was fun.
So after the long appointment I decided to take the kids to the zoo. We had a great time. Unfortunately someone tried to break into the van. Luckily they were a little too heavy handed and punched the lock in and therefore could not get in! But it created a huge logistical mess for me. But I did have some fun watching the employees of Enterprise rent-a-car struggle with our car seats. It was only sorta funny, cuz I was also chasing 2 crazy kids around their office while soothing a very tired baby.
The whole process was silly. I call the insurance company basically right after I discovered the missing lock. They said they give quotes on work on Thursdays. I told them I didn't want to wait until Thursday cuz I have things to do and I need a secure car. But it was too late to take the car in on Monday by the time things were said and done that evening. Our insurance adjuster starts work at 11:30. SO needless to say, I didn't get to take the van in until nap time on Tuesday. I also informed Enterprise of the fact I had 3 car seats to figure out so I needed to have a car big enough for that fact. When they came to pick me up it was in an Accord. I did manage to get the carseats in, and we drove to the office. I thought that was the car they were sending me away with. It wasn't. There was a woman waiting in the office to take that car once we got back. I then watched them try and get the seats out of the back of the Accord. When they had trouble they came back and asked if I just wanted to take the Accord. "Um, NO!" They did finally get the seats out and we got them into a Dodge Journey. Not much better, but it is only a few days. I felt a bit like I was putting my kids in a sardine can. I can't wait to see what happens on the return trip!

In the pictures you can see what the lock is supposed to look like and how it looked when we returned to the van to go home. Not to mention the clunking noise inside the door of the lock rolling around and the fact you couldn't get the lock to move correctly because the lock was rolling around.
