My Turn!

We have had some difficulty with taking turns.  This was especially apparent when it came time for prayers.  So I decided to make a Prayer Chart, but after some thought on the matter I decided to put a SPIN on the concept.

Since I know it can be hard to remember which direct to rotate turns, when the switch was made and that sorta thing I thought I would just make it random each time.  So I made a spinner.  So far so good.  There are some rules.  Only Chris or myself are allowed to spin it.  Otherwise we would need a different spinner to decided who spins, and so on.  This just makes it easier.  So far it is working really well.

It was really fun to make!

Um..I love using pictures instead of names! I have a question, were they wanting to say prayers or complaining that it wasn't their turn:)

I'll have to remember this down the way when I have grown in numbers!

We had the same problem :) Now we just go by age - youngest to oldest - and repeat. The same person says all the prayers we need that day. I like your pics though. Probably way more exciting for the kids than our way. And honestly - we sometimes still forget who's turn it is!!

Savannah - I am not sure! All I know is were were ending up with either everyone saying a prayer, one after another, or everyone crying through mom or dad yelling a prayer, or everyone on time out and mom and dad eating alone. Although it was nice to eat alone, it wasn't our intended goal. So I came up with this. I originally was going to make a chart, but I thought this would be simpler.

Sheila - We tried the alternating thing, but it was getting complicated. The bonus is, this is also handy for any other time we need to "take turns." The first night we used it there was a bit of complaining, but not a peep since then.
