Happy Chinese New Year Valentine Olympic Madi Gras Day!

It has been a crazy weekend! So much has happened. Not necessarily in our lives, but in the world around us. Madi Gras has begun. The beads have begun to fly. I am sure it will be crazy down in New Orleans since they just won the Super Bowl! The Winter Olympic Opening Ceremonies were Friday night. Chris and I watched them Saturday with the kids. Everyone just piled into our bed and watched as the spectacle unfurled. Of course it was a bit sad with the Georgian Luger that died Thursday. (What a crazy, fast track it is!)

Then Yesterday was both Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year. Chris and I LOVE Chinese food. We have had a lot of trouble finding some good eats since we left California. So I decided we would make a nice Chinese feast for Valentine's day, including some pink fortune cookies. I have never made fortune cookies before, so I thought I would give it a try. AND because it was Valentine's Day i added some super sweet little notes! (aren't you supposed to say "...in bed!" after you read your fortune, *wink, wink*)

We made so much food and it was so good. We had pot stickers, chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken, egg drop soup. It was so great.
