Kiah's 4

Kiah’s 4th birthday bash was so much fun. Too bad it was SOOOO hot.
Here are the invites to the party.

When the kids arrived they made bracelets like the one Dora wears. Once they had their adventure bracelets we got our backpacks and maps.

You see, Swiper stole the key to the cake box, and you can’t have a birthday party without a cake. So we had to find where Swiper swiped the key to. We found out that Swiper had swiped the key into the Piñata at Piñata playground. But we don’t know how to get to Piñata Playground. Who do we ask for help when we don’t know which way to go? The Map. So everyone got out their maps. (Everything is in 3’s with Dora, but for your sanity, I will not repeat everything 3 times) The map showed us that we had to take the number path through the jungle, around the snakes, and then to Piñata Playground. And don’t forget to catch stars along the way. Is there anything in your backpack that might help you find stars? Your binoculars! So we then got to the jungle and found the number path. We had to step on the numbers in the correct order from 1-5, or else we would slip off into the swamp. We all made it.

We then came to the snake path. Is there anything in your backpacks that will help you trick the snakes into thinking you are a snake? Your party blower! (You know, the party favor you get that you blow into one end and the other end unfurls into a snake tongue, I was lucky enough to find some without noise makers in them) So each explorer got out their “snake tongue” and slipped passed the snakes successfully. We then caught some stars just before we got to Piñata Playground. At Piñata Playground we each took turns pulling a ribbon on the Piñata until it popped open. All the kids collected the candy and stars that poured out, and we found the key! It was so hot so we all ran inside to unlock the cake box and have cake and ice cream. We did it! What was your favorite part? I liked that part too! My favorite part was coming back inside and drinking some water, but the life saver ice cream was up there! Thanks for helping!

It was a fun party. Kiah has been asking for another party every day since.
